Nearly every culture has poetry, just like nearly every culture has art. Poetry is art, in some opinions, including mine. Some of my favourite poets were either Islamic or Hindu, and their work features images from nature, from sensual relationships, and from everyday life -- all while talking about God. Shiv-atma means "one who is god-realised", or, in other words, those who have recognised the Mystery and come to some understanding of it.
